Since August 1999, Judy Holm has been working with her husband Michael McNamara to develop and produce documentary, narrative television series, and feature films.

In 2008/09 Ms. Holm produced the feature drama Victoria Day with award-winning writer/director David Bezmozgis (Natasha and Other Stories). Victoria Day premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival in international competition. Featured in many international film festivals, it opened theatrically in Canada in June 2009 through E One and can currently be seen on HBO Canada.

The Return of the Fabulous 7, a feature comedy, is in development with Telefilm and Corus Entertainment. An original concept by Holm and Michael McNamara, the script is at second draft. Other films in development are Sleepyhead, a comedy, The Ethiopian Mantis, a thriller, Sailor Girl, a coming of age drama, and Heaven is Small, a comedy.

Ms. Holm has also been active in documentary, beginning with Wrinkle, which was broadcast on CBC Newsworld's Rough Cuts in January 2001. Wrinkle was from an original idea by Ms. Holm, and she went on to be the associate producer, writer, and narrator.

Holm won the 2004 Gemini Award for Best History Documentary Program or Series for Radio Revolution: The Rise and Fall of the Big 8. She followed up by producing, starring in, and narrating Flatly Stacked for TVOntario and The Documentary Channel. She then produced and narrated Meet the Sumdees, a P.O.V. exploration of a cross-cultural marriage for Vision TV, Penis Dementia: The Search for the Perfect Penis and Stacked Like Me for Discovery Health, Life Network, Canal Vie and SBS Australia. In 2003, Ms. Holm produced Genuine Article: The First Trial with director David Bezmozgis for The Documentary Channel and W Network, and in 2005 and 2008, seasons one and two of the 30 min. HD series Driven by Vision for Vision TV. In 2008 she produced 100 Films and a Funeral, the story of Polygram Films, for The Documentary Channel, Sundance Channel, and AVRO. MGM came on board to distribute. 100 Films and a Funeral was nominated for a Best History Program Gemini in 2008.

Acquainted With the Night, a feature length doc for CBC's Documentary, Who Killed Feminism for CBC and Fan Boy Confessional for Space are currently in production. Prior to production, Holm worked for over a decade in feature film distribution.

From 1995 to 1999, Holm was the Vice President of Theatrical Distribution for PolyGram Filmed Entertainment Canada, where she set up the PFE's Canadian distribution and was the liaison for international production.
